The International Deep Memory Association Conference 2010
Reconnecting Ancestral Roots
Carcavelos, Lisbon, Portugal, 14th – 17th October
This year's unique conference
For this year’s annual conference we are doing something a little different and something quite unique and special. We have joined forces with our psychodrama colleagues to bring you the very first European conference dedicated specifically to the theme of Ancestral Healing. This subject has followed us through every conference so far, so we decided that this year we ought to make it a very special event.
As you know Roger has been developing his way of working with the unfinished business of the ancestors for some time, he developed and we created the concept of “Ancestral Field Work” which has been growing both in demand and need. Jen has been working diligently in Liverpool developing an “ancestral field worker group” which in July will come together with Roger, Jen, and others getting together for a weekend of healing Liverpool’s ancestral spirits.
The ancestors are making their needs known; we are acknowledging their call for help by honouring them with this year’s annual conference. We have decided to join forces with other professionals dedicated to this field of work. The call is clear and loud that this kind of work needs to be done in connection with and in community with others.
We offer you the opportunity to be part of this very special healing conference; we have prepared and offer you an exciting and stimulating IDMA Conference, with of course, the post-conference excursion to explore and see some of the ancient sites of Portugal, including the resting place of Portugal’s very own Romeo and Juliet, a great but tragic love story that lingers on in the Portuguese Soul.
“Sometimes it falls upon a generation to be great,
You can be that great generation”
Nelson Mandela

“No man can cause more grief
than one clinging blindly to the vices of his ancestors”
William Faulkner
Our programme consists of:
Manuela Maciel (Portugal) & Leandra Perrotta (Italy) will bring their wealth of experience from working around the world with transgenerational psychodrama to offer us an experiential workshop of healing invisible loyalties we all hold within the family.
Roger Woolger (US/France) & Juanita Puddifoot (UK) – “Healing the World Soul” reconnecting and healing our family and our community through “Ancestral Field Work” Roger has been described as a true alchemist with his compassion for the soul and the ability to turn ancestral lead into pure family gold.
Anne Ancelin Schutzenberger (France) – Pioneer of Transgenerational work and author of “The Ancestor Syndrome” Anne, will present us with her research and ways of healing the past family and how important it is for us to make this work in order to heal ourselves and ultimately the future generations.
Mark Wentworth (Portugal/UK) & Filipe De Moura (Portugal/UK) will share with us Dynamic Theatre combined with the ancient wisdom of the Medicine Wheel as way to heal our ancestral family, our communities, the collective and ultimately ourselves. This way of working makes the invisible visible, and the impossible possible.
Saturday evening will be the opportunity to honour your ancestors in their true glory in our usual “Fancy dress party”, we will be entertained by up and coming international tenor, Filipe De Moura, as well as a light hearted look into the world of the ancestors in a short theatrical presentation called “Gone with the Ancestors”. Followed by dancing, socializing and getting to know new people from around the world.
Sunday morning our presenters will be available for a question and answer session in the form of a discussion panel.
Sunday afternoon will be the beginning of our post-conference excursion
